Terms of Service

1. What Velvet does

Velvet is an influencer-marketing platform: creators list themselves and connect their social accounts to display verified audience statistics; brands discover creators and propose paid collaborations. Velvet hosts no explicit content and is not a content platform — see our Content Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Velvet in any capacity. By using the service you confirm this.

3. Accounts & connected platforms

• You may only connect social accounts you own or control.
• Connecting an account authorizes Velvet to fetch that account's statistics via the platform's official API until you disconnect.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of any self-reported information; misrepresented statistics may result in removal.

4. Deals between brands and creators

Offers, campaigns and payments arranged through Velvet are agreements between the brand and the creator. Velvet currently facilitates discovery and negotiation only, and is not a party to those agreements, does not process payments between the parties, and does not guarantee performance by either side.

5. Acceptable use

No scraping or bulk export of platform data; no uploading explicit content; no harassment; no use of creator contact details outside collaborations arranged here. The Content Policy forms part of these terms.

6. Termination

You can delete your account at any time; disconnecting a platform removes its access tokens immediately. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the Content Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." Statistics are sourced from third-party platforms and may lag or contain errors introduced upstream. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velvet's liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.
